Self-assured, humane, and modest, building trust effortlessly and unpretentiously, The Athens Gate Hotel offers guests a ‘feel at home’ experience in the cosmopolitan capital, providing a relaxing stay in a pleasant ambience while integrating seamlessly with the most vivid and historical scenes of Athens. Inspired by the breathtaking view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, a visual narrative was developed to reflect both the grandeur of the city’s ancient history and the family’s deep roots in Pontus, fulfilling their vision of showcasing the hotel’s independence while proudly highlighting its strong heritage.
Design
They say beauty lies in simplicity. Efficient and personal, warm and transparent, The Athens Gate Hotel identity is inspired by the purity of the materials from Athens’ historical wealth. The freshness of white is combined with the warm grey of marble and the elegance of gold, while the applications in the rooms and the restaurant are based on vivid yet elegant accent colours. Embedded in The Athens Gate Hotel logo is an eagle; it symbolises the Eagle of Pontus, a deeply personal emblem tied to the soul of the family that owns the hotel. Their roots in the Pontic region are not only a historical connection but also part of their family identity, reflecting their heritage.
